Welcome to the work of my late father, Robert T. Gumpper (1928-2005). His love of Photography began in childhood and his mastery of the craft continued until his death. A self described chemist and tinkerer, his love of art and photography evolved into love of Process. The work shown on this site is the result of his creative genius and the antique photographic processes he both recreated and modernized to fit his own aesthetic. His most prolific period was from 1960-1980.

They are worthy of note not only for their beauty and mood, but for their place in the history of photography.
